With this new feature, LIC has empowered its policyholders to manage their premium dues using the LIC WhatsApp Chatbot. It ensures ease of use while eliminating the need to visit physical branches or even open the official portal for every payment.
LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty said the WhatsApp payment option will promote speed, transparency, and efficiency in LIC services, making them more accessible to the masses.
How to Pay LIC Premium Through WhatsApp?
Follow these simple steps to pay your LIC premium via WhatsApp:

Type “Hi” and send it to the above number on WhatsApp. - Select the Payment Option:
You will receive a list of services. Choose ‘Pay Premium’. - View Premium Due:
If your LIC policy is already registered on the portal, your due amount will be shown instantly. - Make the Payment:
Pay using UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. - Get Instant Receipt:
Once payment is completed, a receipt will be sent to you immediately on WhatsApp.

To use this WhatsApp service, your policy must be linked to the LIC customer portal. Here’s how to register:
Requirements:
- Policy number (in your name or child’s name)
- Premium amount (excluding GST)
- Scanned PAN card or passport (JPG/JPEG, under 100 KB)

- Go to www.licindia.in
- Click on Customer Portal
- Select New User
- Create your login ID and password
- Log in, click on Basic Services → Add Policy
